pictures...

Either we are adapting to the heat or the weather is cooling down at the end of this wet season: December-May.

Amongst other things we attended a 5 hour long funeral service for Tanzania’s loved and revered Bishop,we've organised MAF's International prayer day, had departmental meetings with each of the managers in order to write out plans of actions: you know how without them Jez is ‘listless’ :o)

We thought we’d give you a little pictoral tour of our home and work....

2014 was our silver wedding anniversary and a year of jubilee: it was a great time to have embarked on a journey with MAF. Having first heard about the aviation charity as a young child when MAF’s ‘flying missionary doctor’ came to visit Carina’s family home, planting seeds of hope, then marrying Jez, an aircraft maintenance engineer who met with Jesus while serving in the RAF and supporting MAF’s work.

We have Africa on our hearts, having served with MAF overseas recently in Tanzania and now Angola. Prior to this we were in the M.East, in Scotland with outreaches into Portugal and a couple of years in Sweden where half the family live, serving with Youth With A Mission.

Jez’s folk are from Shropshire, although we met, married and lived in Leeds before moving to bonnie Scotland for ten years where our two terrific sons were born.

We made our home in Devon where Jez’s career path led him to work as Finance Director at Hospiscare, Exeter, whilst Carina worked at the hospital as a physiotherapy technician. Oliver (now 25) is himself serving with the RAF and Asher (22, married to Louise, daddy to Lucas and Lily) is teacher training.

An important Bible verse to us is from Micah 6:8: ‘He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?’
